In Late July, Lakeview Ag Teacher and FFA Advisor Kaydie Brandl was selected to attend CASE (Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education) Natural Resources and Ecology training at the University of Alaska- Fairbanks. With support from the Nebraska Soybean Board, the Nebraska FFA Foundation, National FFA, and the Lakeview FFA Alumni and Supporters, Ms. Brandl traveled to Fairbanks Alaska to learn more about Natural resources and ecology, including topics about wildlife management, soil and water conservation, and ecological issues. Along with the training, Ms. Brandl created hands-on lessons about soybean production to serve her students. "This experience allowed me to learn more about natural resources and the role of agriculture in preserving and conserving precious resources like soil and water," Brandl said. Ms. Brandl will bring the knowledge back for her students in class and her FFA members.
