📚 Incoming 9th Grade Orientation
LCS will be hosting orientation for 8th graders (not currently Lakeview students) interested in attending Lakeview High this coming fall.
📆 Friday, April 10, 2026
⏰ 1:30-3:30pm
🎒Bring:
     • 8th grade report card (1st, 2nd, 3rd Qtr)
     • Any available MAPS data
     • Note: Students will take a Math Placement exam during this time.

🚌 Incoming 7th Grade Orientation
LCS will be hosting orientation for all current 6th graders planning on attending Lakeview Junior High this coming fall.
📆 Thursday, April 30, 2026
⏰ 8:45-11:15am
🍽️ Lunch served for all! (Non-Platte Center/Shell Creek students, please bring $3.40).

This semester, CCH Healthy Families was a job shadow site for one of our Health Science 3 students at Lakeview, Lexie Sander.  She truly enjoyed her time there and was greatly impacted by the work that Karla and Jill do for the families they serve.  With the holidays approaching, the students asked if there was anything they could do to help a family in the program. Today we were able to deliver the gifts from the family's wish list to the Healthy Families office.  I am always so proud of my students and seeing them work to make someone else's day brighter is amazing!

🖼️ Congratulations to Tessa Miller on being selected to participate in the inaugural Emerging Visions juried art exhibition at Hastings College. Tessa has three original works that will be showcased at the Jackson Dinsdale Art Center Gallery from November 14th through December 13th, 2025.

✍️The Emerging Visions exhibition provides young artists the opportunity to display their work in a professional gallery setting and compete for scholarship awards. See the link for more information!
